Job summary

Magna is hiring a Health and Safety leader to advance safety programs in a manufacturing setting in Carrollton, GA. You will drive the organization’s safety objectives, ensure OSHA/ANSI/ADA compliance, and manage workers’ compensation with data-driven strategies.

The role requires five years of manufacturing safety leadership, strong communication skills, and expertise in ISO45001. You will mentor staff, conduct inspections, and implement effective safety counter-measures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum five years’ experience leading Health and Safety programs in manufacturing environments.
• Experience with ISO45001 and implementing compliant safety systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and advance health and safety objectives to provide a safe, healthful workplace.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, ADA, Fire Codes; liaise with state OSHA reps.
• Oversee Workers’ Compensation program and cost management using data.
• Develop, train, and enforce Health and Safety policies and programs.
• Coordinate safety inspections, audits, drills, and emergency procedures.
• Investigate injuries/illnesses and implement counter-measures for continuous improvement.
• Drive safety culture through leadership, communication, and employee engagement.
