Job summary

North American Construction Group is seeking an experienced HSE professional to drive safety ownership at operating sites. You will coach project leaders, develop HS&E plans, and monitor performance to push the organization toward first quartile safety results.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and collaboration across departments to embed a robust safety culture. Responsibilities include training site staff, facilitating risk assessments, supporting incident investigations,

Qualifications

• Certificate, diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety.
• Accreditation as an OH&S professional (CRSP).
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in Health, Safety & Environment Management Systems.
• Detailed knowledge of the Canada Labour Code and relevant safety legislation.
• Knowledge of OH&S policies and procedures in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop coaching relationships with project leadership to define and improve safety culture.
• Lead behaviours and mindset to strengthen corporate safety culture.
• Facilitate HS&E plans, goals, and objectives across projects/ departments.
• Assist in HS&E performance measurement and coaching staff to improve results.
• Provide HS&E training, orientation and coaching to site staff.
• Conduct HS&E related training development and delivery.
• Support interpretation and application of HS&E rules and legislations.
• Monitor compliance with HS&E policies and systems and drive adoption of standards.
• Identify risks and develop job aids to assist site personnel in safety tasks.
• Participate in incident investigations to improve operator capabilities.
• Coordinate site safety audits and corrective action plans.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety strategies and technologies.
