Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. seeks a Health and Safety Advisor to develop, implement, and monitor Health and Safety programs for the O&M team, partnering with other Business Entities and Operating Companies' and H&S staff to influence an organizational culture that leads to an injury free working environment.

Every day you will support safety excellence through engaging with plant staff and leadership, incident review, safety trend tracking, and providing training and guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety-related field or equivalent education with leadership and communication skills.
• Certified Safety Professional eligibility and OSHA certifications preferred.
• Seven years' safety management experience with at least three years in power generation/energy distribution.
• Subject matter expert in US OSHA CFR 29 Parts 1910/1926.
• Experience with RCFA tools and root-cause analyses of incidents.
• Experience in commercial/industrial construction environments.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 75% and conduct site audits and trainings.
• Experience coordinating with contractors and safety auditors.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor H&S programs for O&M teams.
• Lead onsite training, audits, incident investigations, and safety culture assessments.
• Prepare monthly safety reports for ES NorAm BU executives.
• Support development of H&S Management System in ENGIE North America.
