Job summary

Hawaii Medical Service Association (HMSA) seeks a Health Plan Navigator to guide members through HMSA plan benefits and programs. You will assist customers primarily by phone, with in-person and online servicing support as needed.

The role emphasizes delivering quality customer experiences, helping members understand costs, and using HMSA benefits to improve health outcomes while coordinating with HMSA teams.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Intermediate PC knowledge and navigation proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers by phone with timely and accurate information.
• Document and close customer cases and provide quality resolutions.
• Participate in training to service HMSA's customers and be proficient in at least two HMSA plans.
• Handle inquiries via written, online, or in-person channels and assist with off-line data or projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
