Job summary

Cook Children’s Health Plan is seeking a Health Plan Applications Manager to lead a team that supports and optimizes key health plan applications. The role partners with business leaders to translate needs into IT solutions and oversees configuration, data conversions, and reporting to ensure reliable operations.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years in business and information systems, and IT management experience within health care IT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5 years of progressively responsible and applicable business and information systems knowledge.
• Experience with managed health care organizations and/or insurance operations.
• 4 years of prior IT management experience with a minimum of two years' experience with health care information systems.
• Epic certification required within 9 months of employment; ITIL Foundation certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages analysts supporting and optimizing Health Plan applications and resources.
• Oversees application configuration, workflows, data conversions, data validation, and reports.
• Partners with business leaders to analyze operations and guide IT solution design.
• Prioritizes resources and manages software updates for applications.
• Ensures standardized naming/numbering conventions and manages relationships among end users, third parties, and Epic teams.
• Provides staff leadership and development for the team.
