Job summary

Cook Children’s Health Care System in the United States is seeking an emerging Systems Analyst to develop, test, maintain, install, and deploy applications and related information technologies across clinical and business processes.

You will participate in upgrades, diagnose issues, and ensure quality control on implementations, while staying current with vendor developments and maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• 3 years of direct IT experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• BA/BS in IS or Business preferred
• Epic certifications highly preferred
• Epic certification required within 9 months of employment (including 2 retakes)

Responsibilities

• Modify applications as needed to meet user requirements
• Define and develop reports
• Participate in application upgrades
• Resolve problems and issues with installed applications and related technologies
• Diagnose failures in application software and related technologies
• Quality control of all application implementations/enhancements before release to customers
• Maintain awareness of vendor and industry developments in responsibility areas
• Document all relevant items and activities
