Job summary

Medica is seeking a Health Plan Developer II for Enterprise Data Reporting in Minnetonka, MN. The role is office-based with a 3-day onsite requirement, located in Minnetonka or Madison.

You will design, code, test, and optimize data reporting solutions across multiple business lines and IT initiatives, with exposure to Power BI and SQL in a healthcare context. The position requires a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience, with proficiency in Power BI and SQL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field.
• 3 years of work experience beyond degree.
• Proficient user of Power BI and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Partner with internal business customers to establish and develop relationships, establishing credibility as a key internal resource.
• Use analytic tools such as Power BI and SQL, and other in-house tools to utilize multiple data sources and environments to produce reports to meet needs of business users.
• Develop analytical and reporting specifications for enterprise healthcare projects through participation in project teams or meetings with internal customers.
• Develop and maintain business performance reports for operational business units and produce executive analytic summaries to aid decision-making using various reporting and analytic tools.
• Research subjects surrounding claims, providers, pricing, benefits, government programs or membership, conduct analysis, interpret data, perform data quality checks, identify threats, and present information to internal customers.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous business and data requirements, independently investigate issues, identify appropriate data driven solutions, and communicate recommendations to business partners.
• Participate in team activities to identify problems and improve work processes and systems.
