Job summary

Medica is seeking a Lead Analyst, Healthcare Analytics to deliver actionable insights from medical and pharmacy claims data. You will design analytic solutions, build dashboards, and partner with stakeholders to drive employer reporting.

The role emphasizes management of complex datasets, cross-functional collaboration, and mentoring junior staff. Onsite work is required, with locations in Madison, WI or Minnetonka, MN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare analytics, mathematics, statistics, or analytic related field.
• 7+ years of healthcare analytics, BI, or healthcare reporting experience.
• 5+ years' experience with SQL, SAS or Snowflake.
• Experience with healthcare claims, eligibility, provider, and utilization data.
• Experience creating dashboards with Power BI, Tableau, or QlikSense.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to convey complex info clearly.
• Proven ability to work independently and across teams.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform deep-dive analyses to support employer group reporting and business initiatives.
• Design, develop, and optimize advanced analytic solutions using SQL, Snowflake, SAS, and related tools.
• Build and maintain complex reporting datasets, automated processes, dashboards, and visualizations.
• Act as a technical resource on data architecture, methodologies, and best practices.
• Translate reporting needs into scalable data solutions with stakeholders.
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across analyses.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency through automation.
• Mentor analysts and grow analytical capabilities within the team.
