Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking an HIM professional to support Release of Information, document capture, vital records, and MyChart-related tasks within the Health Information Management Department. The role emphasizes HIPAA compliance and delivering accurate information with strong customer service.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma, 3+ years of medical records or customer service experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of customer service or medical records experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Notary of the Public and Vital Record Deputation within 1 month if covering area.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and basic office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs Release of Information duties including receiving requests, validating authorizations, and transmitting records.
• Performs Document Capture duties: scanning, indexing, and organizing records.
• Performs Analysis duties: reviewing records, distributing information, and maintaining quality in EPIC/Outlook.
• Performs Vital Records duties: handling birth/death records and associated documentation.
• Performs Data Integrity duties: identifying duplicates and ensuring EMPI accuracy.
• Performs MyChart Specialist duties: assisting with portal requests and access management.
