Harris Health System, Inc. seeks an experienced Health Information Management professional to ensure rapid processing of clinical documents. You will scan and upload records, maintain HIPAA safeguards, and handle inquiries about patient records, while supporting data entry and filing of paper records.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, RHIA certification preferred, and at least 2 years in HIM, with strong MS Office and transcription skills.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• RHIA certification preferred for the role.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in Health Information Management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for heavy public contact.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; computer and transcription skills are important.

Responsabilidades

• Scan and/or upload clinical documents to the patient’s Medical Record within 48 hours of receipt.
• Ensure patient records are safeguarded and compliant with HIPAA standards.
• Answer and transfer incoming calls; greet and assist with disclosing patient records to requestors.
• Assist with data entry, filing, and retrieval of paper medical records.
