Job summary

HealthPartners in Bloomington, MN, is seeking a Manager of Health Informatics to align decision-support needs with enterprise analytics, translating complex data into actionable insights for leaders and front-line teams.

You will build and lead the Trends Analytics team, hire and mentor a Data Scientist, Data Engineer, and Data Analyst, and support additional analytics staff to deliver meaningful measures, dashboards, and reports across a regulated healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Five (5) years of experience applying healthcare data and analytics to support health care management, operational performance, population health, and strategic decision‑making.
• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing complex analytical solutions, interpreting large and diverse datasets, and utilizing healthcare methodologies.
• Demonstrated leadership and consulting experience with a proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop high‑performing teams.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to translate complex concepts into clear insights.
• Proven ability to bridge business and technical needs by translating objectives into technical specifications and priorities.
• Experience partnering with senior executives and physician leadership on analytics and decision support.
• Strong organizational and resource management skills to lead multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to lead teams through change and adapt to shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, motivate, and manage analytics staff to maximize value from HealthPartners data assets.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with senior leaders and key customers to understand business needs and deliver data‑driven solutions.
• Lead design, programming, development, and delivery of information for decision making, ensuring accuracy and effective visualization.
• Initiate development of complex data sets and analyses to provide comprehensive understanding of issues.
• Manage resources to meet customer needs, triage requests, and remove barriers.
• Communicate progress to customers and provide early warnings of delays; propose alternatives when needed.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of SAS, SQL, Tableau, Python, and R for analytics and visualization.
• Provide leadership to ensure the organization uses advanced analytics and population health standards.
• Apply quality improvement tools to drive consistent reporting and performance improvement.
