The Iowa Department of Inspections, Appeals, & Licensing (DIAL) is seeking a motivated and flexible individual to join our team in the Health & Safety Division, Health Bureau, as a Health Facilities Surveyor for the Long Term (LTC) Unit.
Who We Are
DIAL is a multifaceted regulatory agency charged with protecting the health, safety, and well-being of Iowans. DIAL’s Health Bureau is responsible for inspecting and licensing health care providers and suppliers to ensure the health and safety of vulnerable Iowans.
The LTC Surveyor position is responsible for health surveys, revisit surveys, complaint surveys, and dependent adult abuse investigations.

To accomplish this, the individual selected for this position will provide regulatory oversight to LTC facilities in a professional, courteous, non-intimidating, and objective manner.
What We’re Seeking

Qualifications include completion of an educational program in professional Nursing with registration, or a Bachelor's degree in a human services area plus three years of professional experience, or a Pharmacy or advanced degree with one year of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with three years of relevant work experience, among other options detailed in the full job description.
