Job summary

Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is seeking a Health Professional IV to serve as a preceptor and work lead for training HP II and HP III staff in regulatory compliance assessments and deficiency reporting. The role involves coaching, survey leadership, and collaboration with supervisors to plan and evaluate trainee performance.

Responsibilities include classroom and field training, developing survey materials, and ensuring trainees deliver accurate, defensible work products

Qualifications

  • Seven (7) years of relevant experience in health care in a facility or program regulated by HFEMSD, or closely related experience.
  • Combination of related education in Public Health, Social Work, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Psychology, or closely related field, and/or relevant experience equal to seven (7) years.

Responsibilities

  • Train HP II’s and HP III’s in evaluating facility regulatory compliance.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to staff on work products and projects.
  • Lead and supervise trainees during surveys and training activities.
  • Develop training plans and evaluate competencies for trainees.
  • Create resource materials for staff regarding surveys, processes and development.
