Job summary

Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) seeks a Training Specialist III to coordinate statewide health care and public health emergency preparedness training and exercises. The role supports federally mandated requirements and collaborates with hospitals, health departments, and coalitions.

The position emphasizes program development, deployment of training materials, and engagement with partners to strengthen Colorado’s emergency readiness.

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of relevant experience coordinating training or exercise programs.
• Combination of related education and work experience equal to six (6) years.
• Experience coordinating with federal, state, and local partners on preparedness programs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate health care and public health emergency preparedness training and exercises statewide.
• Design and implement training strategies to meet HPP and PHEP requirements and related contracts.
• Provide technical assistance and training to stakeholders across agencies.

Education

Bachelor's degree or higher in Public Health, Emergency Preparedness, or related field
