Job summary

State of Colorado is seeking a Health Professional III in the HFEMSD to evaluate health care facilities for compliance with state and federal regulations. The role includes independent work, team collaboration, and interpreting EMR data to guide survey activities.

The position requires an RN license, health care experience, and the ability to produce clear regulatory narratives. Travel, detailed documentation, and adherence to standards are essential parts of the job.

Qualifications

  • Six (6) years of applicable health care in a facility or program regulated by HFEMSD and a current RN licensure.
  • Combination of related education in Nursing, Public Health, Social Work, or closely related field, and relevant experience.
  • Must substantiate that minimum qualifications are met when filling out the Work Experience section of the application; resumes are not considered in initial evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Assess care, treatment and quality of life in health facilities via observations, interviews, and record reviews.
  • Write regulatory narratives and deficiencies based on CMS/State regulations and guidelines.
  • Direct survey/investigation planning and ensure tasks are completed per guidelines.
  • Communicate with providers and consumers as a resource and educator on regulatory expectations.
