Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) Grand Junction Regional Center is seeking a Health Care Technician III to ensure person-centered outcomes for individuals receiving services. The role involves coordinating residential staff, managing day program operations, and orienting new staff to programs in a 10‑hour shift schedule across a 4‑day workweek.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience in an occupational field related to the assigned work.
• Substitutions: additional education substitutes for required experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Must possess a valid, in‑good‑standing LPT license OR obtain QMAP within three months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct hands‑on programming to individuals in the day program area.
• Coordinate residential staff and up to 15 people in a day program or work setting.
• Manage operation of a primary work area or job site and maintain equipment/supplies.
• Orient new staff to the work area and individual programs.
• Act as a role model and resource to staff.
• Identify training needs for staff and individuals to achieve outcomes.
• Monitor staff performance and wage compliance per Department of Labor regulations.
• Ensure compliance by staff with Medical, Psychology, OT, Speech, Recreation, Habilitation, and PT needs and recommendations.
• Assist therapists with specialized evaluations as required.
