Description of Work

We are seeking a permanent full-time Health Care Technician II for day shift (8am-4:30pm) in the Transportation Department. Responsibilities include transporting patients within the hospital and to other facilities, taking patients to appointments, checking emergency equipment, transporting equipment in emergencies, delivering equipment, supplies, medical records, and documents, and transporting lab specimens and personnel as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Must be listed as a CNA I by the NC Health Registry, with EMT Certification and a NC Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of growth and development principles and the needs of the patient population.
• Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care independently.
• Ability to respond appropriately to emergencies.
• Maintain professionalism and composure in work relationships.

Minimum Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED and one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification requirements include listing as a Nurse Aide I in NC and EMT certification if applicable.

Sign-on Bonus Eligibility
