Murdoch Developmental Center is recruiting for a Health Care Technician II at Royall Cottage, Unit 3, a male unit reporting to the Unit Manager. This supervisory position monitors the care provided by Technician I staff, offering feedback and ensuring quality care. Responsibilities include:
This full-time role includes benefits such as health insurance, paid leave, and retirement. Normal hours are 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on 1st shift, including holidays and every other weekend, with some flexibility required.
MDC serves 25 counties in central NC, providing residential services and supports to individuals with IDD, behavioral challenges, and complex medical needs. It is part of the Division of State Operated Healthcare Facilities and employs approximately 1600 staff. MDC is located near Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill.
Applicants must have:
High school diploma or GED plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Necessary training includes listing as Nurse Aide I or II, or EMT certification, as applicable.
