Job Summary
Health & Beauty Care Team Leaders lead the department by supervising, directing, and managing Team Members, ordering products and supplies, and implementing merchandising initiatives to stimulate business growth, meet customer requirements, and maximize profits. Leaders are accountable for the department's operating performance at all times. They represent the organization professionally, promote and develop individuals with mutual respect, inclusion, diversity, and dignity. They coach Team Members regularly with timely feedback, identify development opportunities, and coach for success.
Job Description
- Experience Required: Retail work experience or Store Leader recommendation
- Experience Desired: Retail leadership or supervisory experience; successful performance as a Peer Trainer, in-store champion, or similar role; relevant product knowledge; satisfactory performance and discipline record
- Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent
- Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds
- Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age
Job Responsibilities
- Your primary duties include:
1. Interview, select, and train Team Members;
2. Direct the work of Team Members;
3. Appraise Team Members’ productivity for promotions or status changes;
4. Handle Team Member issues, including complaints;
5. Discipline Team Members;
6. Plan and assign work;
7. Ensure safety and security of Team Members and the store;
8. Manage the department or store budget;
9. Manage inventory;
10. Monitor and ensure compliance measures. - Oversee and evaluate training to reduce turnover, promote efficiency, and control labor costs.
- Provide motivational leadership by fostering respect and setting an exemplary example.
- Identify team strengths and opportunities, and think strategically in scheduling and planning.
- Develop future leaders and recognize Team Members with growth potential.
- Promote an inclusive and diverse environment, giving each Team Member a voice.
- Maintain safety as the top priority for Team Members, guests, and products.
- Inspire the team and guests with a passion for food and a commitment to excellence.
- Set and achieve sales and profit goals, manage shrink, and suggest improvements.
- Establish communication plans to keep the team informed and prepared.
- Coordinate with the merchandising team to communicate promotions effectively.
- Propose innovative ideas to improve the business.
- Analyze financial and operational reports to enhance performance.
- Oversee inventory accuracy and monitor fluctuations and shrink.
