Job summary

Aerospace Company in Brea, CA is seeking an experienced Heading Machinist for the 2nd shift to set up, troubleshoot, and operate cold heading machines in a fast-paced shop. You will read blueprints, use precision tools, and ensure parts meet specifications.

You will also input data into the K-Lite system, identify issues, perform maintenance, and train new teammates, contributing to a safe, productive environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cold heading or related machining experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience with precision inspection equipment.
• Experience with National, Okuma, or Waterbury machines preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, troubleshoot, and operate cold heading machines.
• Produce quality parts using blueprints, process documents, and work instructions.
• Use precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Gather production materials, drawings, schedules, and tooling requirements.
• Enter setup and production data into the K-Lite tracking system.
• Identify and report machine issues, material defects, and drawing discrepancies.
• Perform machine maintenance and tooling replacements as needed.
• Support and train new team members when required.
