Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Header Machinist to set up, troubleshoot, and operate cold heading equipment in a fast-paced Orange County manufacturing environment. The role focuses on producing high-quality, precision components while maintaining productivity and equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience operating and setting up cold heading machinery.
• Strong experience using precision inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, drop gauges, and related equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing specifications.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, troubleshoot, and operate cold heading machines to meet production requirements.
• Manufacture quality parts in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
• Monitor production processes and perform in-process inspections to ensure product quality.
• Gather and review production documentation, tooling drawings, schedules, and work orders.
• Accurately record production output and setup activity within the production tracking system.
• Identify and report equipment issues, tooling concerns, material discrepancies, and process abnormalities.
