Job summary

Alfa Laval is seeking a Header Welder for on-site work in Tulsa, OK and/or Broken Arrow, OK. The role involves welding headers using MIG and flux-core processes, torch work, layout, and occasional crane operation.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED with some welding experience, ability to read blueprints, and forklift or overhead crane familiarity. Safety, quality, and teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required with relevant experience.
• Must pass Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) if working on stainless steel.
• 1 year minimum manufacturing experience; welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and use tape measure.
• 1 year experience with MIG/flux-core welding and oxyacetylene/sub-arc torches preferred.
• Welder test (G Weld) successful completion.
• English proficiency for safe operation and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and instructions to understand weld procedures, headers, and plate thickness.
• Operate MIG welding machine to weld headers.
• Use oxyacetylene torches to preheat heads and cut openings.
• Layout and fit-up of non ASME code water jacket headers.
• Perform preventive maintenance and assist with tasks as needed.
• Operate crane and hoist to load and unload heads.
• Crosstrain in other areas and mentor teammates.
