Job summary

Alfa Laval is seeking a Header Welder to perform welding and fabrication tasks in Tulsa/Broken Arrow, OK. You will read blueprints, set up welds, and weld headers using MIG and flux core processes, including preheating with oxyacetylene torches.

The role involves crane/hoist operations and on-site cooperation with team members. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED with relevant welding experience, strong blueprint reading skills, and the ability to pass safety and welding tests.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with relevant experience.
• Minimum 1 year of professional manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret welding instructions.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints to understand weld procedures and header layouts.
• Operate a MIG welding machine to weld headers.
• Use oxyacetylene torches to preheat heads and cut openings.
• Perform layout and fit-up for water jacket headers and related components.
• Maintain a clean work area and assist with training others as needed.
• Crosstrain in other areas and operate crane/hoist to load/unload heads.
