Job summary

Alfa Laval Mid Europe GmbH is seeking a Header Welder to perform welding, grinding, and related tasks per blueprints and work orders. You will select appropriate welding wires to ensure proper fusion of base and filler metals and fabricate or repair products using MIG, flux-core, oxyacetylene, and sub-arc processes.

Teamwork and training responsibilities are included, with cross-training opportunities across departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with relevant welding experience.
• Minimum 1 year of professional manufacturing experience; industry experience preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Weld, grind, chip and perform welding tasks per blueprints and work orders.
• Select welding wire for fusion of base and filler metals.
• Weld metal components to fabricate or repair products using various torches.
• Assist Team Lead/Manager and train others as needed.
• Cross-train in other areas/departments to acquire new skills.
• Prioritize safety and follow all policies; promote safe practices.
