• Use common hand tools including: box and end wrenches, micrometers, scales, bench grinders, optical comparators, indicator plugs, depth and go/no-go gauges, cutting tools, and technical drawings
• Apply shop math and standard shop practices
• Monitor machine quality output by checking parts frequently
• Collaborate closely with Tool and Die Makers in the development and production of hammers, up-sets, and quills

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate automatic cold header machines

• Form and cut off coil stock for precision production

• Make machine adjustments to reduce stock size

• Adjust cold header machines with multiple tools and multiple transfer fingers

• Utilize cut-off tools and multiple dies effectively

• Use common hand tools including:

  • Box and end wrenches

  • Micrometers

  • Scales

  • Bench grinders

  • Optical comparators

  • Indicator plugs
