Job summary

Widener University in Chester, PA, invites applications for Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach. The successful candidate will lead all aspects of a NCAA Division III program, including coaching, recruitment, academic monitoring, travel logistics, and daily operations.

This is a full-time, 10-month position reporting to the Executive Director of Athletics; night/weekend hours and lifting required; commitment to inclusive excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • 2+ years of progressive collegiate Lacrosse coaching at the Division III level or higher.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and proof of insurability.
  • Experience recruiting and retention of collegiate student-athletes and academic monitoring.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Preferred: Master’s degree.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of progressive collegiate Lacrosse coaching at the Division III level or higher.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage an NCAA Division III Lacrosse program in accordance with NCAA, conference, and Widener guidelines.
  • Coach and mentor players; plan practices; manage non-traditional season; organize event travel, meals and accommodations, and scheduling.
  • Manage staff, budget, team fundraising, recruitment, alumni engagement, and daily operations.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Athletics.
