Job summary

Dean College in Franklin, MA seeks an experienced Head Women's Lacrosse Coach to lead its NCAA Division III program. You will recruit student-athletes, plan strategic program development, and ensure academic success while maintaining athletic excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
  • Collegiate head coaching and/or high-level assistant coaching experience strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of coaching experience at the collegiate level.
  • Proven ability to recruit and retain high-performing student-athletes.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a positive team culture and support student-athlete development.
  • Commitment to NCAA Division III philosophy and the mission of Dean College.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Travel is required for recruiting and competition.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the recruitment efforts for the women's lacrosse program by identifying and attracting student-athletes who align with the College values.
  • Design and implement a strategic plan to elevate the women's lacrosse program, including recruitment, player development, coaching, and support.
  • Provide academic oversight, support, and accountability to ensure retention, eligibility, and graduation.
  • Supervise and mentor assistant coaches to ensure program philosophy alignment.
  • Plan and lead all practices, skill development, and strength/conditioning activities.
  • Manage game day planning, scouting, and in-game decision-making.
  • Coordinate travel logistics and scheduling for home and away contests.
  • Cultivate a positive, inclusive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship and academics.
