Job summary

Widener University is seeking a Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach to lead and develop a NCAA Division III program. The role involves coaching, recruitment, and retention of student-athletes, with responsibility for training, travel, and academic monitoring.

The position is full-time, 10 months, reporting to the Executive Director of Athletics, with potential for hybrid or remote work arrangements per university policy. Night/weekend hours are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• 2+ years of progressive collegiate Lacrosse coaching experience at the Division III level or higher.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and proof of insurability.
• Experience recruiting and retaining collegiate student-athletes and academic monitoring.
• CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Microsoft Office Suite or similar tools for duties.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage an NCAA Division III Lacrosse program in accordance with NCAA, conference, and Widener guidelines.
• Coach and mentor athletes, plan practices, manage non-traditional season training, and organize travel and events.
• Oversee staff management, budget, fundraising, recruiting logistics, and daily operations of the program.
• Support departmental needs and participate in committee work and administrative duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Athletics.
