Job summary

Montgomery County Board of Education in Montgomery, Alabama is seeking a Head Outdoor Track Coach (Temporary) to coordinate and supervise the track program and team. You will work with staff to ensure proper implementation and that student-athletes are cleared through the Athletic Director.

Candidates may have Alabama Teacher’s Certification or equivalent qualifications; CDL is preferred. Completion of the AHSAA Coaches’ Education Program is expected.

Qualifications

• Alabama Teacher’s Certification (preferred) or classified based on qualifications.
• Experience in sports as participant or coach (preferred) but not required.
• Completion of AHSAA Coaches’ Education Program.
• Must have or be willing to obtain CDL.

• Previous Experience in sports as a participant and/or coach (preferred) but not required
• Completion of all requirements set forth by the AHSAA Coaches’ Education Program
• Must have or be willing to obtain CDL

Essential Duties:

• Coordinate and supervise Track program and team
• Organize and supervise the coaching staff to assure that the program is properly implemented
• Ensures that student-athletes practicing or playing have been cleared through the Athletic Director
• Attend the AHSAA sponsored rules clinic for his/her sports
• Board Approved Stipend $4,000.00

SPECIAL NOTE: The person selected for this position must agree to a background check, be fingerprinted, and pay a $46.20 fee. This is required by law.

SPECIAL NOTE: For employees starting work after the beginning date of the work term, the salary will be pro-rated and based on the number of contract days left in the school year, divided by the remaining months in the contract year.
