Job summary

Montgomery Public Schools in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Head Outdoor Track Coach (Temporary) to lead and supervise the track program and team. The role emphasizes coordination of coaching staff and ensuring proper program implementation, with athlete clearance through the Athletic Director.

The position requires CDL eligibility or acquisition, along with completion of the AHSAA Coaches’ Education Program. A finite funding term applies, with a $4,000 board-approved stipend.

Qualifications

• Current Alabama Teacher’s Certification (preferred) or classified based on qualifications.
• Previous experience in sports as participant or coach is preferred but not required.
• Completion of AHSAA Coaches’ Education Program.
• Must have or be willing to obtain CDL.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise Track program and team.
• Organize and supervise the coaching staff to assure proper implementation.
• Ensure student-athletes cleared through the Athletic Director.
• Attend the AHSAA sponsored rules clinic for his/her sports.
• Board Approved Stipend $4,000.00
