Job summary

Hill Country Christian School of Austin is seeking a Head Tennis Coach to lead the tennis program with a focus on spiritual formation, athletic excellence, and family discipleship. The role demands strategic leadership, biblical integration, and strong collaboration with the Athletic Director, staff, and students.

The head coach will guide program philosophy, manage events and schedules, and ensure safety, compliance, and positive culture across teams and activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of similar or related experience.
• Must be a Christ-follower who upholds Hill Country Christian School of Austin’s Core Values and Statement of Faith.
• Must faithfully attend a church whose beliefs align with the school.
• Proven experience leading spiritual formation programs and events and biblical integration.
• Coaching certification in the sport preferred but not required.
• Understanding of the sport Principles and coaching methods.
• Experience in coaching multiple sports and managing events and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Assist the AD in building a culture within the tennis program prioritizing holistic formation and Christ-like character.
• Serve as a visible leader and ambassador for athletics within the school and community.
• Assist in developing and executing program philosophy, standards, and expectations for athletes, parents, coaches, and community.
• Ensure compliance with governing authorities and school policies; oversee safety and risk management.
• Lead player development through spiritual, physical, and mental growth programs and offseason plans.
• Coordinate with AD on game day operations, scheduling, and travel for tennis teams.
• Manage facilities, equipment, and marketing/communications for the tennis program.
