Job summary

Hill Country Christian School of Austin is seeking a qualified coach to lead athletic programs in a Christ-centered manner. The role requires Biblical integration in practices and a strong commitment to the school’s faith-based values.

The coach will develop sport-specific skills, promote discipline, and foster a biblical worldview among athletes. This exempt, seasonal position involves coordinating with the athletic director and meeting league requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be a Christ-follower who upholds Hill Country Christian School of Austin’s Core Values and Statement of Faith.
• Certified to coach the sport at the appropriate level; certification preferred though not required.
• Must be able to integrate Scripture into the athletic experience, imparting a biblical worldview.
• Must understand and skillfully apply the principles of the sport they are coaching.

Responsibilities

• Establish and promote high Christian standards in an athletic setting.
• Establish a positive and professional rapport with athletes and peers.
• Meet all TAPPS/CAPPS requirements dependent on the level of coaching.
• Demonstrate mastery of the material being coached and maintain students' and parents' confidence in the quality of their athletic experience.
• Coach the skills necessary to understand the mastery of the sport; equip the athletes to compete at middle/high school level.
• Plan, submit, and implement coaching practice upon request.
