Job summary

Hill Country Christian School of Austin is seeking a part-time, seasonal coach to lead athletic programs in alignment with Christian values. You will foster discipline, biblical integration, and sports mastery while preparing athletes for middle and high school competition.

The role requires safeguarding high standards, maintaining positive relations with students and families, and ensuring compliance with TAPPS/CAPPS guidelines. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or to be acquired.

Qualifications

• Must be a Christ-follower who upholds Hill Country Christian School of Austin’s Core Values and Statement of Faith.
• Must faithfully attend a church whose beliefs align with the school's Statement of Faith.
• Certification in the content area is preferred though not required.

Responsibilities

• Establish and promote high Christian standards in an athletic setting.
• Establish a positive and professional rapport with athletes and peers that earns and maintains their respect.
• CPR/First Aid certified or willingness to be certified.
• Meet TAPPS/CAPPS requirements dependent on the level of coaching.
• Demonstrate mastery of the material and maintain confidence in athletic program quality.
• Coach to understand the mastery of the sport and prepare athletes for middle/high school competition.
• Plan, submit, and implement coaching practice upon request.
• Incorporate Scripture into practices, games, and activities as applicable.
• Maintain a positive atmosphere and orderly environment conducive to learning the sport.
• Input stats and record contests as outlined by the athletic department.
• Participate in athlete discipline and involve parents as appropriate.
