Coaches are expected to model biblical values, integrate Scripture into daily practice, and promote safety, teamwork, and sportsmanship while adhering to school standards and athletic department guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be a Christ-follower who upholds Hill Country Christian School of Austin’s Core Values and Statement of Faith.
• Must faithfully attend a church whose beliefs align with the school's Statement of Faith.
• Must be qualified to coach the sport at the appropriate level; certification preferred.
• Ability to manage conflict in high-stress situations biblically.
• Ability to integrate Scripture into the athletic experience to impart a biblical worldview.
• Must understand and apply the principles of the sport being coached.

Responsibilities

• Establish high Christian standards in athletics.
• Build positive, professional rapport with athletes and peers.
• CPR/First Aid certified or willing to be certified.
• Meet TAPPS/CAPPS requirements as applicable.
• Demonstrate mastery of coaching material and maintain confidence among students and parents.
• Coach to help athletes compete at middle/high school levels.
• Plan and implement coaching practices as needed.
• Incorporate scriptural guidance into practices and games.
• Foster a positive atmosphere and orderly learning environment.
