Job summary

A school district in Idaho is seeking a Head Start Part Day Teacher Assistant to assist the teacher with classroom activities and support children’s learning. The suitable candidate should have a GED or high school diploma and commit to obtaining a Child Development Associate with prior experience in early childhood settings preferred. This position offers a salary ranging from $13.68 to $16.50 per hour based on qualifications, with additional benefits including retirement and insurance.

Qualifications

• Must be committed to obtain a CDA or higher within the first two years of hire.
• Experience working in Head Start or other early childhood settings is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid Certification required within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with planning and implementing classroom activities.
• Work with parents and volunteers in the classroom.
• Participate in child assessment and home education home visits.

Skills

Competency in reading, writing, speaking and listening

Basic computer skills

Experience working with diverse families

Bilingual

Education
