Job summary

South Central Missouri Community Action Agency seeks a Site Supervisor for Early Head Start/Head Start. You will lead center staff, align operations with Head Start standards, and collaborate with the Component Manager to ensure quality service to children and families.

Responsibilities include staff supervision, reporting, facility oversight, and coordination with local health departments and schools. Strong leadership and compliance experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Possess a CDA or higher in child development.
• An A.A. degree in early childhood education or related field.
• Experience in Head Start or comparable program.
• Experience supervising employees.
• Experience in human services management, including program planning, operations and evaluations.
• Experience with computers and management information systems.
• Missouri Chauffeur’s License within 60 days of employment.
• Medical exam and TB assessment within 30 days; refresh every five years.
• Background checks including child abuse/neglect, drug screen; random testing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor staff responsibilities and address deficiencies.
• Inform Component Managers of concerns using appropriate forms.
• Review, evaluate and monitor Head Start requirements and records.
• Complete required reports by deadlines.
• Ensure staff meet job expectations.
• Supervise program of services for children and families.
• Engage in ongoing assessment of service quality.
• Inspect facilities, grounds, equipment and vehicles; correct issues.
