Job summary

SCMCAA Head Start/Early Head Start program is seeking a Program Operations Manager to oversee broad program operations, supervise Site Supervisors, and ensure compliance with Head Start standards. The role includes leading the annual self‑assessment, coordinating PIR reporting, and supporting policy and program development.

Qualifications

• Requires AA or higher degree in education or administration.
• Minimum two years supervisory experience.
• Minimum two years experience working in a Federal program.
• Knowledge of Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report to the Director any ongoing quality issues in centers.
• Ensure compliance with HSPPS, licensing guidelines and agency P&P.
• Lead annual self‑assessment and PIR processes.
• Supervise Site Supervisors and manage evaluations and time/leave approvals.
• Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new HS/EHS employees.
• Assist in recruitment, interviewing and staff development.
• Support the Director with grant proposals and program planning.
