Job summary

Maricopa County is seeking a Site Supervisor to lead and supervise a Birth to Five or Head Start teaching team, overseeing infant/toddler and preschool classrooms. You will ensure daily operations align with program goals and community needs, promoting children's development and family engagement.

The role emphasizes leadership, site coordination, and adherence to Head Start standards, with extensive collaboration across departments and community partners.

Qualifications

• One year of professional experience teaching in a licensed childcare or pre-kindergarten setting.
• Associate degree or higher in early childhood education, with 18 credits in ECE/child development/infant-toddler development.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, guidance, training, modeling, support, and supervision to classroom Teachers and Teacher Assistants.
• Manages the daily operations of a Head Start/Early Head Start classroom, including facilities maintenance, data collection, inputting, reporting, and teaching.
• Maintains a safe and healthy learning environment with continuous supervision of children.
• Serves as lead contact with community partner sites and coordinates communication and planning throughout the school year.
• Assists with recruitment and enrollment of children and families into the Head Start program.
• Plans transitions with parents, school personnel, and children according to the Transition Plan.
