Job summary

Northside Center for Child Development in New York City is seeking an Early Childhood Education Site Supervisor to oversee Head Start and EHS/HS programs, ensuring compliance with federal and local standards and high-quality service delivery.

You will lead planning, staffing, and daily operations, recruit and evaluate staff, maintain appropriate ratios, develop policies, provide professional development, and collaborate with families and community partners to support comprehensive services.

Qualifications

• Must have leadership experience.
• Master’s degree in early childhood education.
• New York State Certification in ECE B-2nd and/or N-6.
• Experience in human service program management, including planning and operations.
• Budgeting, fiscal oversight, reporting, data tracking, and daily operations management.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff in assessment, intervention, and service delivery to children and families.
• Facilitate and improve program services per policies and board guidance.
• Oversee program planning, staffing, and daily operations for high-quality service.
• Recruit, supervise, and evaluate EHS/HS staff with performance reviews.
• Maintain staffing ratios and compliance with requirements.
• Develop and update EHS/HS home and center policies and procedures.
• Design training and professional development plans based on needs.
• Manage budgeting, data reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure Headstart standards and multicultural integration in practices.
• Collaborate with leadership and partners for comprehensive services.
• Fulfill mandated reporting and child safety responsibilities.
