Job summary

The Y in Central Maryland is seeking a Head Start Resource Aide to collaborate with classroom teachers and support individualized goals for children in our program. You will help manage schedules, assist with activities, and ensure the health, welfare, and safety of young participants, particularly those with special needs or individualized plans, contributing to a positive early education experience.

Qualifications

• Interest in the well-being and education of young children.
• Some prior experience working with special needs children.
• Ability to clearly communicate with children, families, and Y associates.
• 90 hour child care certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers to provide instruction and support routines.
• Support the health, welfare, and safety of children in the program.
