Job summary

Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois seeks an experienced Manager on Point to supervise Head Start centers and ensure compliance with Head Start standards and DCFS regulations. You will lead classroom staff, implement curricula, and manage staff discipline and development.

Responsibilities include recruitment support, family engagement, and maintaining complete personnel and child files for reviews, along with annual staff evaluations and training planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field is required.
• Must meet DCFS requirements for Early Childhood Assistants and HS Performance Standard requirements.
• Successfully complete fingerprint and background check as required by 89. Ill. Adm. Code 385.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct day-to-day supervision of the classroom staff.
• Hold teachers accountable for implementing Creative Curriculum, Conscious Discipline, and CLASS.
• Maintain working understanding of Head Start and CAPCIL Agency Policies.
• Ensure files are up to date for DCFS or Federal Review.
• Complete annual evaluations and professional development plans for staff.
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children, families, and staff.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings with at least 20 hours in-service annually.
• Assist with recruitment and parent engagement activities.
