Job summary

The Maryland Rural Development Corporation (MRDC) seeks a Head Start Teacher to develop and implement individual education plans for preschool children, helping them grow socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally. Responsibilities

• Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum for preschool children per guidance from leadership.
• Refer children suspected of having special needs or challenging behavior to appropriate staff.
• Implement behavior plans and IEPs designed with the team and families.
• Guide and facilitate activities of the children, including daily activities and field trips.
• Maintain a comprehensive and ongoing portfolio assessment for each child.
• Foster a positive learning atmosphere encouraging creativity and exploration.
• Attend training sessions, workshops, and staff meetings to enhance professional skills.
