Qualifications

• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with teams to provide high quality services to children and families.
• Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with problem solving and time management.
• Ability to follow directions and take initiative.
• Knowledge of Head Start/ Early Head Start program purpose.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized and group lesson plans promoting social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth.
• Maintain safe, healthy and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
• Build relationships with families and communities.
• Maintain records and ensure confidentiality.
• Plan, conduct and document observations, assessments and screenings.
• Supervise and support teachers, aides and volunteers as needed.
• Ensure safety and active supervision during all activities, indoors and outdoors.
• Engage parents in child education and communicate progress.
