Job summary

ADVOCAP, Inc. is seeking Home Based Early Learning Specialists for Head Start in Berlin. The role involves weekly home visits to support child development in Fond du Lac and Green Lake counties, with group socialization experiences for families.

Requirements include a high school diploma (or GED/HSED), 3–5 years of experience (2-year degree preferred), and a CDA within 18 months. Travel up to 70% and CPR certification are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3–5 years of work experience; a 2-year degree highly preferred.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.
• Must possess a 2-year degree or Home Visiting CDA within two years of hire.
• Must complete CDA within 18 months of hire.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel up to 70% using a personal vehicle.
• CPR certification or willing to obtain.
• Physical, TB, drug screen and comprehensive background check required.
• Reliable attendance and a professional work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly home visits with enrolled families to support child development, school readiness, and positive parent-child interactions using a research-based curriculum.
• Plan and facilitate multiple monthly group socialization experiences for children and families to promote learning, social-emotional development, peer interaction, and family engagement.
• Complete developmental screenings, ongoing child assessments, observations, and documentation to monitor progress and identify potential concerns.
• Work weekly with Family Development Specialist to coordinate services and ensure children receive needed health, nutrition, mental health, disability, and family support services.
