Job summary

ADVOCAP, Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a Center Operations Manager for Head Start centers in Berlin, NFDL and Ripon. The role will oversee daily operations, ensure child safety, supervise staff, and coordinate transportation and services to families.

This full-time position is 36 hours/week with a starting wage of $24.19 per hour, negotiable by experience. Benefits include health, dental, vision, disability, vacation, sick and holiday pay, plus a 401(k) with employer contributions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college/university and 3–5 years of related work experience.
• Strong communication, planning, team development, leadership, and activity organizing skills.
• Flexibility and capacity to manage all Head Start program areas.
• Class observer certification required or willing to obtain.
• Valid driver's license and insurance; occasional travel in personal vehicle.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Reliable attendance and professional work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff at centers and ensure a safe, professional learning environment.
• Maintain regular management presence at centers.
• Coordinate daily schedules and arrange substitutes to ensure continuity.
• Promote teamwork, values, and positive communication among staff and partners.
• Participate in meetings to address program needs of children and families.
• Collaborate with COM and Head Start management to improve programs.
