Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have no criminal record or charges
• Must have a valid driver’s license and liability insurance
• Must be able to speak, read and write English
• Must have or be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR certification
• Must have a clear TB and physical before first day of employment
• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Must have 60 college credits in social services and/or one year experience in social services
• Must be skilled in data entry

Responsibilities

• Supervises the implementation of Head Start Performance Standards and Texas DHS licensing requirements as Center Director
• Recruit children for Head Start and Early Head Start
• Keeps relevant child information for Head Start and Early Head Start
• Generate reports/memos for the Family Services Content Area
• Maintain family demographics and enrollment data in PROMIS
• Motivate families to participate in program activities
• Maintain relationships with schools, churches, welfare departments, clinics, and poverty programs
• Attend staff trainings and workshops as needed
• Support Head Start families in children’s health and academic success
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
• Work on weekends, holidays, and/or evenings for special projects at the Executive/Head Start Director’s request
