Job summary

Save the Children is seeking an Early Childhood and Development Coach to work with the Manager, Education and Inclusion to strengthen Head Start and Early Head Start education services.

The role involves delivering training, supporting staff through coaching, and ensuring alignment with program standards, curricula, and family engagement goals. Collaboration with directors and educators is essential to improve child outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in early childhood education with teaching experience.
• Proven supervision and training experience.
• Experience with Head Start/Early Head Start standards and practices.
• Proven ability to build supportive relationships with very young children and families.
• Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and technical assistance to classroom staff to ensure high-quality programming.
• Monitor child and teacher progress to ensure program objectives are met.
• Collaborate with Program Director and managers to resolve complex issues and ensure compliance with Head Start standards.
• Conduct observations (e.g., CLASS) and provide feedback, coaching and mentoring.
• Develop and deliver research-based professional development aligned with program goals.
• Support PITC integration into curriculum and parent/child activities.
