CAPITOL REGION EDUCATION COUNCIL is seeking a Head Start Assistant Teacher to assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum and to support the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Early Childhood or CT Early Childhood Certificate, CDA, or 12 credits in Early Childhood.
• Experience with Head Start or similar program preferred.
• Knowledge of CT standards and Head Start guidelines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and assist in planning age-appropriate curriculum.
• Provide instruction and care for children.
• Assist in writing daily/weekly lesson plans.
• Ensure safety and proper classroom equipment.
• Attend staff and parent meetings and participate in trainings.
