Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Management-level Center Administrator to oversee center staff in the administrator's absence and support ongoing operations.

This role requires strong administration experience, Head Start knowledge, and the ability to coordinate services across education, family, and community support areas to meet regulatory standards and the needs of enrolled families.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in administration and supervision.
• Strong knowledge of Head Start theories and practices of Early Childhood Development, Human Services and/or Human Development.
• Working knowledge of Head Start and Child Care regulatory environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise center staff in the absence of the Center Administrator.
• Inform Center Administrator of staffing needs and changes immediately.
• Assist in mid-year and annual performance evaluations of Center staff.
• Maintain an up-to-date listing of all staff credentials and records on professional development pursuit status for those pursuing degree course work to assure staff progress towards educational requirements as supported by MAP and Head Start Performance Standards.
• Assist in the coordination and arrangement of services in all functional areas, utilizing internal and external resources to provide quality services as deemed appropriate for each enrolled families to include but may not be limited to the following areas:
• Education and Early Childhood Development: Monitor classrooms and ensure staff:child ratio.
• Family and Community Services: Coordinate daily activities of family services staff and scheduling service delivery appointments.
