Job summary

Opportunities for Williamson & Burnet Counties seeks a Center Director to oversee daily operations of Head Start centers, ensure educational development, health, and safety of children, and report to the Program Director.

You will hire and supervise staff, ensure compliance with ADA/IDEA and licensing, manage volunteers, collaborate with program coordinators, engage families, and build partnerships to deliver quality services while maintaining confidentiality and high ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in child development or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years supervisory experience in licensed child-care center or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Head Start, ADA/IDEA, and licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and staffing of Head Start Center.
• Ensure health and safety compliance for children and staff.
• Hire, train, and supervise staff; conduct performance reviews.
• Manage facilities and grounds; ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with program coordinators and community partners to provide quality services.
